August 25th 2013 marked the 10th anniversary of The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed, the first official Wildhearts release since the polarising 1997 album Endless Nameless. While receiving average reviews from critics and fans alike, the album features some typically well written pop/rock songs (see Someone That Won't Let Me Go or There's Only One Hell) and had some chart success with three strong singles (Vanilla Radio, So Into You, and Top Of The World).

While not the Wildhearts album I celebrate the most, the sessions did spawn one of my favourite Ginger-penned songs, which later appeared as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of the album.

As it happens, today is the 10th anniversary of the Japanese release.

Gaahh, the melodies...
