You got that Daydream Nation look in your eye
Released on Monday, here's Ryan Adams' take on Taylor Swift's entire 1989 album.
I make it no secret I'm a Taylor Swift fan, given her pretty much perfectly distilled pop songs, so having prolific genius Ryan Adams cover her whole last album was a laughably great prospect.
It's everything I hoped it would be; a beautifully imperfect contrast to the shiny production of the original. The songs are refreshingly rearranged to suit Adams' style (This Love is one of the most gorgeous Things he's ever recorded) and the production is raw and live sounding, soaking with analogue cool.
Get it on iTunes (or steal it, or whatever).
